Berning, JD, LL.M Before entering private practice, Randy served as an Illinois Assistant Attorney General. In private practice he has concentrated his practice on legal, financial and practice management issues affecting dentists and health care providers. He is experienced in business and transactional matters, mergers, acquisitions, contract negotiations, planning for practice transition, succession and expansion. Randy received his Master of Laws in Health Law (LL.M.) from Loyola University of Chicago, School of Law in 1989. He was a Trustee Advisor for the America's Fund for Dental Health (1994-1995), served as a member of the National Advisory Council for Nursing Research, Department of Health and Human Services, NIH (1994-1998) and served as Adjunct Professor of Dental Jurisprudence and Director of Practice Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry from 1993-2000. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and a Clinical Instructor at the University of California-San Francisco, School of Dentistry. He speaks frequently for national and specialty organizations and he co-presented the ADA national seminar series topic "Do's and Don'ts of Associateships and Practice Valuation" (1987-1992) and "Dental Practice Financing and Debt Management" (1989-1992).
